Rollout of the new eta2012

The DART Racing Team has shown with great effort a professional rollout of the new eta2012. Among others, the sponsors, the relatives of the team members and all those interested in the new racing car were invited.

The rollout was opened by Maren Graupner, the DART Racing team leader, and then the eta2012 was presented to the audience with a spectacular shadow play.

In an interesting discussion round, technical details were presented by DART Racing team members and discussed in conversation with sponsors, including CuroCon GmbH represented by Bernhard Müller, why the support of the DART Racing team is important and of interest to the various companies from industry and business.

Details of the eta2012

The drive of the eta2012 was interestingly explained with a little juggling by the presenter. The car is powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 100kW. Unfortunately, this had to be throttled down to 85kW due to the Formula Student regulations. Which will still provide decent thrust for this lightweight, however. Another focus during development was, among other things, the battery with special associated housing. However, all requirements could be implemented by the DART Racing Team with appropriate know-how and brains.

The eta2012 is now in the final testing phase before the start of the season, with the car having to prove itself on the race track in Hockenheim at the Formula Student, among other things, on August 4.
