Sponsors' Day at DART Racing

This year, the DART Racing Team is focusing on the electric race car, the "core goes green" is the motto. The team sees the future here and will not develop a combustion race car for 2012. We were told about the innovations of this year's electric race car in a very interesting presentation. Due to the innovations, the new model has become a whole 10kg lighter than its predecessor. Following the lecture, we finally experienced the highlight of our day: At the airfield in Griesheim, last year's racing car, the zeta2011, was demonstrated to us under the conditions of the Formula Student regulations. Outside it was windy but dry and so we could enjoy the demonstration to the fullest. Unfortunately, the new electric race car was not yet ready and could therefore not be presented to us live. All the more eagerly we await the rollout of the new electric racing car "eta2012" on May 21, 2012. After that it will get serious for the DART Racing Team: On August 4, 2012 the team can finally prove itself against all other participating universities at the Formula Student race in Hockenheim and show what it has developed with great commitment. Finally, from August 23 to 28, 2012, the Baltic Open will take place in Darmstadt. We keep all fingers crossed that the Baltic Open trophy goes to the DART Racing Team this year!
